We’re so proud to be one of the only clinics in the south that offer sugaring! This is because of how long it takes to train, it’s definitely a specialist skill (it takes some therapists up to 6 months to train!)
Sugaring is one of the most effective, and almost painless, forms of hair removal.
Unlike waxing, the pure sugar paste is applied by hand and removed by hand. Sugar paste attaches itself only to dead skin cells and the hairs, unlike wax which sticks to live skin cells, and so therefore it is recommended for clients with sensitive skin as it produces virtually no reaction.
Sugaring vs Waxing
unlike waxing sugar contains NO chemicals - making it perfect for sensitive skin
sugar paste is water soluble meaning no sticky residue
wax removes live skin cells causing bruising, redness and irritation where-as sugaring only removes dead skin cells leaving the skin gently exfoliated.
the sugar paste is applied by hand and removed by hand meaning you can never be burnt with the paste.
Sugaring reduces broken and ingrowing hairs because it is pliable and wraps itself around the hair shaft while seeping below the mouth of the follicle enabling the hair to be pulled out each time by the root. It can actually reverse ingrown hairs.
Sugar is a natural healer to the skin and delicate areas can be sugared with no adverse effects
It's no wonder sugaring has been voted the best hair removal procedure!
